Racepace 1:1

Convenient to your diary, I offer the following, no-obligation 1:1 running or cycling sessions to help you improve.

Conditioning session:

In order to stimulate a positive adaptation to your fitness, I'll plan an appropriately challenging warm-up, main set and cool down. We'll discuss how best to approach the session, you can then enjoy executing it. I'll provide appropriate feedback at the end of the session.

Technical session:

If you think you've got deficient technique or skills, I will evaluate where I think you are, demonstrate the appropriate drill or technique, then I'll help you experiment with it. I'll also provide video feedback for this session.

Fitness testing:

I'll plan a specific running or cycling fitness test that will target your physical and mental abilities. The initial part of the session will focus on your thoughts and expectations of the test and a warm-up. From the subsequent test I'll establish your working heart rate zones and if cycling, power zones for the bike. They will be provided via a follow-up email.

Formal consultation:

We can discuss your training, season planning or anything relevant to your goals. Done over a coffee etc, this 1:1 takes place sat down and likely indoors. Notes are taken and I'll produce an action plan (not a training plan) for you.

Informal session:

An informal but active 1:1, such as a scenic bike ride or run. Good for general wellbeing, I'll plan an appropriate ride or run somewhere new. You're free to enjoy the time and chat about your goals, whether it's your provisional race calendar or just general advice about training or racing. For many, this 1:1 can be a good place to start.

Cost:

Subject to availability, Racepace 1:1’s cost £60 for a minimum of a 2hr session (includes the session and follow-up evaluation):

As costs and logistics are more circumstantial, I also offer 1:1 swim coaching but only by request.
