Ideal for Duathletes or Triathletes, the 'Bric' (Bike Run Inter-Change) is a group session aimed at improving athletes fitness and understanding of running and cycling. BTF Level 3 coach Rodger Wilkins coaches the session every Wednesday evening from Studiorama Fitness on the outskirts of Blackburn.

Part of the appeal of the 'Bric' is the variety, with unique sessions planned on a weekly basis. The 80-90min session always has a different emphasis. At appropriate times we also make use of the Studio's Wattbike Pro to gauge athletes current power outputs.

Athletes need to bring their running kit, a towel, an energy drink and their own road or time trial bike, which they mount on one of the 12 Tacx turbo trainers provided. The run usually but not always takes place after the bike and we make use of multiple interesting locations and environments.

We encourage a competitive environment and in many of the sessions the athletes are split into teams, where tactics can also play their part. Group training can be incredibly motivating and great fun as well as pushing you to get the most from your session.

Please note: Male or Female athletes must have the necessary run fitness to book onto the bric - this equates to running around 50mins or less for 10k. There is no fitness requirement for the bike.
