Congratulations to Wendy Drake who yesterday finished 21st in the ITU Multisport World Championships Festival in #Penticton#Canada.

The standard distance AG event contested over a 10km run, 40km bike and a 5km run is not to be underestimated. Wendy had trained hard and under the circumstances was very happy with how things went, no doubt being supported by her family of Paul, Rosie and Evie made it extra special.

Wendy would be the last to highlight the fact that around two weeks days ago she somehow managed to pick up a freak rib injury. Although having virtually two weeks off training didn't detract from the fitness she had built up, it did prevent her from using it to it's full capacity on race day. Anyone who has had a rib injury knows just how hard it is to breathe when running - especially at race intensity. The saving grace was riding the bike was virtually pain free, Wendy made the most of this and showed her strength to power to a fantastic top 10 bike split. 🚵‍♀️

All in all Wendy did what she does best and committed to the race 100% and we couldn't be more proud of her. A great example to us all.. #Supermum
